Applying for a Parish Council Grant
The Parish Council is keen to support local organisations with small grants that can demonstrate benefit for the residents of Calver.
The normal maximum grant is £250, although the typical grant is around £100. Although each application is considered on its merits, grants are not normally offered to meet day-to-day running expenses – rather they are intended to help meet one-off needs such as equipment purchase or other exceptional expenses.
If you wish to apply on behalf of a local organisation or community group. please complete the attached application form and return it to the parish clerk. It is likely that you or another representative of your group will be required to attend the council meeting at which the application is to be discussed, to give you the opportunity to support your bid and answer councillors' questions.
Note
Grants must benefit some or all inhabitants within Calver, not an individual. Grants may not be made retrospectively, i.e. after the expenditure has been incurred.
